I am one of your patients. I am on Xalatan as prescribed by you. My pharmacist has tried to get approval for a refill of my perscription since Monday. They claim they have been sending a fax to your office.
Could you please approve a refil as I have been without my eye drops for 5 days.

I am very impressed with your blog and the topics and wider perspective on treatment. A patient thought you were very competent, although the front office experience was reportedly unpleasant. I’m glad your practice is apparently doing so well - I wanted to get an appointment, but after busy signals all one day and no response to messages left the next day, I finally gave up and have an appointment with another Doctor.

(You might want to consider getting a six sigma black belt who specialized in medical to assess and help some of the processes.)

Dr. Mong:

I wanted to schedule an appointment with you, because you were recommended as a highly competent Ophthalmologist.

However, I called your office four separate times over a six week period in April and May to attempt to schedule an appointment with you. Each time the same gentlemen informed me that that appointment scheduler was not available but she would call me back the same day to schedule an appointment. Each time I never received a call back, despite informing the person answering your phones of each previous call.

I have finally given up. While you may be extremely competent on a personal level, your office staff appears to be incompetent which unfortunately reflects directly on you.

The only reason I am taking the time to write this email comment is because I own a business here in Grapevine and I would want to know if this was occurring in my business.
